Virtual Sunday School is offered every Sunday as follows:

11:15 for All ages, the Zoom link.
During the lesson time we learn the bible lesson, discussions, play Kahoot for the Bible lesson, share prayer concerns and praises, and any news of coming activities for children.
The Zoom call is led by Ms. Dana, Director of Children’s Ministry.  Zoom links can be found weekly in the “Children’s News”  on the KIDS Ministry page.
In addition, during the school year, we offer a bi-weekly “PJ Party” for kids to check-in, tell us about their week and relax with friends while under the guidance of Ms. Dana, Director of Children’s Ministry.  This link is below in “Children’s News”.
Look for both links under the “PJ PARTY tonight and Sunday School Lessons…”
Any questions, contact Dana Hanlon at dana@mtpisgahgso.org

We offer Sunday School outside, weather permitting, during our Outdoor Worship services, and during the Sunday School Hour (9:30 – 10:30) for children aged 4 years through 5th grade.  Children sit with their families for the beginning of worship and then are invited to  join our Director of Children’s Ministry, Dana Hanlon, for a time of lessons, and activities (with proper social distancing), on our side lawn.  Children should bring their own chair. Masks are optional as we are outside.  A pre-packaged snack (Goldfish or Cheez-its) is provided by our dedicated Children’s workers, who take the greatest care and concern to provide the treats while taking precautions. All Children’s workers wear masks, gloves and sanitize all items before any child is handed an item. The children return to worship after the sermon.  Please know worship times may vary based on weather and as such Children’s Sunday school may vary.  Check our website for specific details.

Discipleship

Sunday school for Children isn’t like the days past, we don’t sit at desks to learn. NO..we stand, we march, we touch and smell and listen.  It’s Hands On…What if Jesus taught your kids? How would he do it? What tools would he use? What would he want them to learn and remember?  The Bible gives us lots of examples of how Jesus did it 2,000 years ago. He used everyday objects like coins, fish, and plants to help people remember the truths he shared with them.  Hands-On Bible Curriculum does the same thing. We call them “gizmos,” and they serve the same purpose: to help kids understand important Bible truths. It worked for Jesus, and it still works today. Join us at 9:30 every Sunday and jump into the fun of learning about Jesus, God and our Bible.

Our Nursery Ministry staff in addition to a wonderful group of volunteers, care for our Infants through Pre-school,.  Nursery (Newborn through two years) and our Preschool (3-5 years old) is available beginning at 9:30 am through all Worship services on Sundays.  We also offer Nursery Ministry at different events, Wednesday Night Live, special worship services and much more.  Our Nursery Ministry is located on the first level of the building, near our playground. Parents must remain on the premises when their children are in the care of the Nursery staff.

Our Children’s Committee wants to honor our families and volunteers and encourage our families to worship together several times a year.  As such, we use the Fifth Sundays as Worship with your Family Sundays.  We do not hold Sunday School nor Children’s Church, instead we have a Worship Activity Center available in the Narthex for traditional worship and in the back of The Mount worship space. Included in the Worship Activity Centers are Children’s Worship Bulletins and Sermon Notes, plus several fun things to keep fingers engaged!  Please stop by and pick-up a few items to borrow and return for worship!

We have a Check in process for all Children, Infant through 5th grade. Please stop by the Check-in Kiosk and register your children.  First time visitors will be asked to complete a registration form.  We strive to provide a safe, engaging environment for all events. We will require all children to wash their hands and/or hand sanitize their hands before entering the classroom.  All children must have a name tag from the Children’s Check-in Station prior to entering the classroom.  Children dropped off for Nursery through Fifth grade will also have their temperatures taken prior to entering the room.  All our Nursery workers are required (during Covid19) to wear a mask and gloves. Nursery workers and Children’s Sunday School Teachers will be cleared for any temperature prior to working on Sunday morning. Our Check-in process is one of our best practices for a Safe Sanctuary.
