What is “Whobodies”?
“Whobodies” is the student ministry here at Mount Pisgah Church. The name “Whobodies” was inspired by the book Whobody There by Charles and Anne Morse. Each “Whobody” is a unique, unrepeatable miracle of God. It is that message with which our students are equipped to go into the world and love like Jesus, with truth and grace.
If you are a student in grades 6 through 12, you are invited to join us!
Sunday Morning Groups
Our students meet together at 9:45am or 11:00am on Sundays mornings for group study and accountability. They learn to apply the authority of the Word of God to their lives and live in community with the church body. To get connected on Sunday mornings, email or call Mount Pisgah’s Director of Youth Ministries, Dayna Pasley at firstname.lastname@example.org or 336-288-3321.
“Whobody” Main Event
The Whobodies meet on Sunday nights from 4:30-6:30 p.m. for worship, prayer, large group teaching and small group discussions. Parents prepare a meal for our students following the Main Event each Sunday.
On Wednesdays, our students gather from 6:15pm-7:45 pm to participate in a variety of service opportunities. These projects include visiting area nursing homes, serving meals at the Night Shelter, random acts of kindness, and other community or congregation-oriented opportunities to be the hands and feet of Christ.
…And So Much More!
Our students also have the opportunity to go on beach and snow-skiing trips, attend sporting events, Christian music concerts, lock-ins, bowling, camping trips, movies, and laser tag tournaments, to name a few. Each summer, “Youth Week” features different group-building activities and outings every day.
Youth retreats (Fall & Spring) and conference-wide activities encourage spiritual growth. National and international mission trips (Spring & Summer) encourage service to others. There is truly a place for each student to fit in here and discover the love of God for themselves and for the world.
